Ten dated beats from late August, all sitting on gates, ranks, dungeons, or a leveling tax — nothing here is a recap of whatever aired this week. ARISE got a monarch hall, Ize Press took a Ragnarok novel, and Hell Mode named a new arc. KARMA has Tokyo Game Show on the calendar. The rest of the list is the same neighborhood: tombs, a sword that levels, Infinity Castle’s next film year, and the art book D&C shipped. If it does not touch a system, a hunter, or a dungeon, it is not on this page.
The ten that belong here
1. Hall of the Monarchs — 3 September
Netmarble’s August 24.0 notes put the new challenge on the calendar. Hall of the Monarchs unlocks after Workshop of Brilliant Light Tier 10 in Sung Jinwoo Mode, runs two weeks a season, and lets you stack Proof of Mastery modifiers for score. First-season weaknesses are Water and Light. Inven’s write-up of the Lee Joohee patch is the clean public version. This is the game page that belongs under the Monarch ranking, not a lore rewrite. The hall is a score mode. The nine kings stay on the manhwa list.
2. Ize Press takes the Ragnarok novel
At Anime NYC on 22 August, Ize Press said it will publish Daul’s sequel novel in English print and add Spanish editions of the original comic, novel, and audiobook. ANN carried the panel. Sooho Sung is the hunter the sequel is about. Print volumes of the webtoon already started in July. Call it a publishing beat — the chapter drop has not happened.
3. KARMA goes to Tokyo Game Show
Netmarble booked Solo Leveling: KARMA for TGS 2026, public days 19–21 September, with a business-day window before that. The July Expo panel already attached Troy Baker to Antares and teased “another major reveal” for September. The KARMA release window is second half of 2026. No calendar day yet. TGS is where that window can tighten. Skip the recap until the stage talks.
4. Hell Mode Season 2 hits Rosenheim
Crunchyroll posted a new visual and extra cast on 12 August, then six more names on 14 August, including Sigur, Lukidar, and Nefthira. Yokohama Animation Laboratory returns as the studio, with Makoto Tamagawa directing. The academy grind is the tax this season is animating: Summoner cards, a 100× skill bill, no walkthrough. That tax is why the show belongs beside Jinwoo’s log.
5. HIDIVE is running the English dub
The Season 2 dub started on HIDIVE from 5 August. If your readers only watch subs, this is the week the grind became easy to share. Same story, same class, just a second audio track. No new lore in the dub credit. It belongs on a hunter desk because the show is the only current weekly that is openly about a difficulty setting.
6. Tomb Raider King is the relic cousin
Studio EEK’s adaptation has been airing through summer. God-like tombs, relics, a hunter who treats the map like a raid. ComicBook spent 20 August calling it the leveling-show people put on while Solo Leveling’s TV side is quiet. This isn't Jinwoo, and relics don't behave like gates. The overlap is the job: walk into a hole in the world and come out with a rank. Use it as a comparison, and keep the clone headline off the title.
7. Infinity Castle Part 2 is 2027
The rest of the trilogy is now on a public window: Part 2 in 2027, the last film in 2029. That is the Hashira war on a movie clock, the same war the Hashira ranking already sorted. No new 1-to-9 chart came with the dates. Kokushibo stays at the top of the old moons when the demon list goes up. Treat this as a release-date update; nobody touched the power chart.
8. The Art of Solo Leveling shipped in August
D&C Media and Aladin put the official art book on the first week of August. ScreenRant flagged it on 15 July as the August drop while the movie and Ragnarok manhwa stay in holding patterns. Production stills. Useful if you write a later visual essay. Ch. 62 and the Cup stay on the rank pages.
9. Tapas is finishing the English novel
GameRant’s 12 August note is the one to keep straight. Tapas resumed the remaining English novel chapters after stalling around 318; the Korean novel already ended at 375 in 2025. That's the novel moving. The manhwa hasn't. The webtoon is on hiatus after the artist’s military service. If someone tells you “Ragnarok is back on Wednesday,” ask which format — the novel moved; the manhwa has no date.
10. Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 is on
ANN’s Anime NYC piece on 25 August treated Season 2 as already starting: cat-girl partner, talking blade, dungeon work. It is a grind show with a class fantasy, which is why it makes this ten. Sports recaps and idol-game events do not. No hunter census and no System window, just levels and loot on a weekly clock.
10 Anime News, what to ignore
Madoka’s 28 August film, idol-game events, and generic battle-shonen recaps do not help this domain. The hunter rank ladder and the movie briefing already cover the Solo Leveling spine.
